Why is VinFast VF 6 the most anticipated car model today?

Technology content surpasses rolling price

Although the exterior dimensions of length, width, and height are similar to those of B-class CUVs, the VinFast VF 6 is superior in terms of interior and exterior design, engine specifications, features, and smart and safe driving support technology. Many parameters of this model such as engine power, wheelbase, rim size, amenities, etc. are even better than some C-SUV models such as the Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson.

“With its superior technology content, the rolling price of only 767 million VND for the VF 6 Plus is very reasonable. However, I will buy the car with the battery at the rolling price of 857 million VND, because spending only 90 million more to own a battery with a capacity of nearly 60 kWh is extremely cheap,” Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat (Hanoi) affirmed after spending time carefully researching the newly launched car model of VinFast.

According to the announcement, VF 6 owns more than 20 advanced driving support features, twice as many as Hyundai Tucson, while the smart features are 3 times more.

“I like the pet mode the most because my family has a small dog, so every time we go out or go shopping, I can comfortably let him lie in the car without worrying about suffocation or heat. In addition, I can completely monitor the car's condition remotely via the VinFast application on my phone, so I feel even more secure. Gasoline cars cannot have this feature,” said Mr. Hoang Anh Viet (Viet Tri, Phu Tho).

According to the policy announced by VinFast, customers who deposit a car between October 20 and October 30, 2023 will receive a discount of up to VND 20 million. However, those who have been following the car market for a long time or have a special interest in VinFast believe that the Vietnamese car company will completely bring more surprising policies to customers.

“If there are additional special incentives like previous car models, VF 6 Plus will certainly put great pressure on both competitors in segments B and C in the market,” said car expert Chu Huu Tho (Autobikes).

“Energy cost is only 480 VND/km, cheaper than motorbike”

In addition to the advantages of low rolling price due to free registration fee, attractive incentive policies and technology content beyond the segment, VinFast VF 6 is also awaited by many consumers because the cost of use is very cheap compared to gasoline cars.

According to estimates, with a battery capacity of 59.6 kWh, the travel distance for each full charge is 399 km (according to WLTP standards), each km of travel VF 6 consumes about 0.15 kWh, equivalent to the cost of charging only 480 VND (according to the unit price of household electricity level 5). This is a cost cheaper than the gasoline cost of a large scooter model.

In particular, the maintenance and repair costs of electric cars are also much lower than those of gasoline cars because there are not many parts that need to be replaced periodically, and the maintenance cycle of electric cars is also longer. The first maintenance milestone of VinFast electric cars is currently 12,000 km, while with a similar distance, some gasoline car models are about to have to be maintained for the third time.

In addition, VinFast VF 6 has a genuine warranty of up to 7 years or 160,000 km (whichever comes first), 8-year battery warranty, unlimited km, bringing great peace of mind to users throughout the vehicle's use.

“With a modern design, spacious interior, lots of technology and very attractive ownership and usage costs, VinFast VF 6 is a car model suitable for most young families. This car model can even be targeted by many people looking to buy a car in the C-SUV segment, because the value of use it brings is at the same level while the cost users have to pay is much lower,” said Mr. Dinh Nam - a long-time car expert.

VinFast will officially accept deposits for the VF 6 model from October 20, 2023, with prices ranging from 675 to 855 million VND, depending on the version. All customers who deposit from October 20 to October 30, 2023 will receive a discount of 20 million VND, deducted directly when paying for the car.
