More than 60 workers in Nghe An hospitalized after lunch

After having lunch at Premium Fashion Company (Nghe An), more than 60 workers showed symptoms of headaches and nausea and were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Workers were transferred to 115 General Hospital for emergency care.

On the evening of December 6, Dr. Pham Ngoc Quy, Head of the Nghe An Food Safety and Hygiene Department, said that the unit had just coordinated with the authorities to collect food samples to send for testing to clarify the cause.

“Today, we presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies to collect food samples from Premium Fashion Company to send to the National Institute for Food Safety Control for analysis to find the cause of the poisoning,” said Dr. Pham Ngoc Quy.

Initial information, at 1:30 p.m. on December 6, after eating, many workers of Premium Fashion Company (WHA Industrial Park, Nghi Loc, Nghe An Province) showed symptoms of dizziness, headache, and nausea. The workers were suspected of food poisoning and were transferred to local hospitals for emergency treatment.

Of these, 42 workers were transferred to Nghi Loc General Hospital, 12 workers were transferred to 115 General Hospital and 9 workers were transferred to Cua Dong General Hospital.

At hospitals, workers were initially diagnosed with food poisoning and grade 1 anaphylaxis, so they were urgently treated with intravenous fluids, antihistamines, and corticosteroids.

With active and timely care, by the afternoon of the same day, the workers' health was basically stable, and their lives were no longer in danger.
