After eating a poisoned dog, 8 people in Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak) had fever, stomachache, vomiting, and diarrhea and had to be hospitalized.
On the morning of November 21, the Vice Chairman of Tan Lap Ward People's Committee (Buon Ma Thuot City) confirmed that a food poisoning incident had just occurred in the area, causing 8 people to be hospitalized.
According to the Vice Chairman of Tan Lap Ward People's Committee, on the afternoon of November 16, the family of Ms. HMN (residing in Buon Ko Sier, Tan Lap Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province) had a dog that died due to poison.
Regretting the loss, the homeowner butchered the meat and invited the neighbors to eat with them. By midnight, all eight people had symptoms of fever, stomachache, vomiting, and diarrhea, so they were taken to Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital for emergency treatment.
On the same morning, the leader of Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital said that after being examined and treated, the health of the patients is currently stable, most of them have been discharged, only a few cases are still being treated here. The hospital has also taken samples for testing to determine the cause of the incident.
