According to the investigation results, on October 10, 2023, Lu Ji and a friend entered Vietnam for tourism. The two subjects rented a hotel in Bac Ninh province to stay. A few days later, Lu Ji and his friend ran out of money and immediately came up with the idea of stealing property.
The investigation determined that Lu Ji and his accomplices committed two thefts in Cam Giang district.
The first incident occurred at 4:40 a.m. on October 15, 2023 at the Dien May Xanh store in Tan Truong commune, Lu Ji and his accomplices broke through an iron bar of the store and broke in. The subjects broke through the safe in the warehouse and took 58.3 million VND.
At around 5:00 a.m. on October 17, 2023, at Yihong International Vietnam Co., Ltd. located in Luong Dien commune, taking advantage of a loophole, Lu Ji and his accomplices broke into the factory area to find an opportunity to steal. Here, the subjects forced open the office door and the wooden desk drawer of a company employee, stealing 10 million VND.
