Arrested a subject who repeatedly stole motorbikes in Vinh Hoa commune

Thieves often steal late at night and early in the morning. The subject is a small male, usually wearing a black down jacket with a hood and a mask. He often goes alone around Vinh Hoa commune, lurking, looking for houses with motorbikes in the yard or shed to break into. Then, the subject breaks the motorbike lock, cuts the gate lock to steal the motorbike.

Ninh Giang District Police determined that all the thefts that occurred in Vinh Hoa Commune were committed by one person. District Police leaders directed Task Force 151 to coordinate with Vinh Hoa Commune Police to increase patrols, control, and ambushes.

At around 0:45 on December 11, the working group of the district police and Vinh Hoa commune police discovered a young man with characteristics similar to the subject who committed the thefts. The working group signaled the vehicle to stop for inspection. The subject did not comply with the order and ran away. The working group chased and arrested the subject at the Ca temple intersection in the area of ​​​​team 4, Ngoc Hoa village. The police force immediately took the subject to the Vinh Hoa commune police headquarters.

Through investigation, the suspect confessed that he was Bui Van Song, born in 1984, residing in Kim Bich village, Lien Am commune, Vinh Bao district (Hai Phong city). The motorbike Song had just driven was stolen from Ms. Nguyen Thi H. in Ngoc Hoa village a few minutes earlier.

Expanding the investigation, Song confessed that in addition to the motorbike he had just taken, he had also committed two other thefts in Vinh Hoa commune. In one case, in the early morning of December 7, Song broke into the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi N. and stole a Yamaha Nouvo motorbike. That same night, Song sneaked into the garage of Mr. Nguyen Xuan L.'s family, also in Ngoc Hoa village, to steal a Honda Dream motorbike and into the living room to steal a tablet.

The Ninh Giang District Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted Song for theft of property. The Ninh Giang District Police Investigation Agency has tracked down and recovered the stolen property.

Song has 4 previous convictions for theft and just completed his prison sentence in January 2023.
