On the morning of March 13, Comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee chaired a working session with relevant departments, branches, units and localities to unify the implementation of the task of organizing activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang (April 2, 1904 - April 2, 2024).
At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches, units and localities reported on the preparation and implementation of assigned tasks according to Plan 202-KH/TU dated March 6, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee on organizing activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang.
Concluding the working session, Comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, Head of the Propaganda Department of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, requested departments, branches, units and localities to concentrate and promptly complete the assigned tasks. During the implementation process, it is necessary to regularly exchange information, coordinate closely; assign specific and clear tasks, in accordance with the motto "5 clear" so that the commemorative activities can be organized successfully.
According to the Plan of the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, the province will organize and coordinate many activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Comrade Nguyen Luong Bang's birth such as: Scientific seminars, incense offering, commemorative ceremonies, awarding of the press prize "Hai Duong aspires to develop"... The ceremony to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Comrade Nguyen Luong Bang's birth is scheduled to be held on the morning of March 28 at the Xu Dong Cultural Center (Hai Duong City).
Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang (April 2, 1904 - July 20, 1979) was from Dong village, Thanh Tung commune, Thanh Mien district (Hai Duong). Comrade Nguyen Luong Bang participated in revolutionary activities from December 1925, often using the aliases Anh Ca, Sao Do. From the early days of the country's founding, comrade Nguyen Luong Bang was assigned by the Party and State many important missions such as being the first General Director of the National Bank of Vietnam; the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the Soviet Union; Inspector General of the Government; Head of the Central Inspection Committee.
