The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has just approved the technical economic report of the project to restore and embellish the memorial house of Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang in Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien), the relief project item.
The work is 4 m high, 15 m long, made of natural blue-gray granite. The composition consists of 3 parts: The central relief is the image of a group of characters, comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, Vice President, along with a team of farmers, children, workers, intellectuals, soldiers, and police. Above is the image of the Presidential Palace.
The relief on the left depicts Thanh Mien village, the birthplace of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang; the image of a teacher, where he studied; publishing the first newspaper "Cong Nong" in Binh Giang; being imprisoned for 12 years in Son La Prison; participating in the Revolutionary Youth Association in 1925; member of the Liberation Committee in 1945; participating in the stripping of King Bao Dai's seal in 1945.
The relief on the right is Comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, Head of the Finance Department (General Director of the State Bank of Vietnam), Inspector General of the Government, Head of the Central Inspection Committee, the first Ambassador of Vietnam to the Soviet Union (1952); some pictures of him when he visited his hometown Thanh Mien; Thanh Mien district in the cause of construction and development.
The project has an investment capital of 6 billion VND, sponsored by the Vietnam Bank Trade Union. The implementation time is this year.
The completed project aims to contribute to preserving and promoting the value of the relic and towards the 120th anniversary of the birth of Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang (April 2, 1904 - April 2, 2024).
