28 new communes, wards and towns in Hai Duong officially come into operation

This morning, 28 new communes, wards and towns in Hai Duong officially came into operation in an exciting and joyful atmosphere.

From 5:30 a.m. on December 1, Hai Duong Provincial Police urgently delivered and received seals at the Provincial Public Administration Service Center for localities with communes, wards and towns to make arrangements.

More than 500 new seals have been handed over to 10 districts, towns and cities with communes, wards and towns arranging and collecting seals from old communes and wards.

Comrade Le Dinh Long, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong City Party Committee, presented the decision of the Hai Duong City Party Standing Committee on personnel work of Le Thanh Nghi ward.

Officials, party members and people of Le Thanh Nghi ward are excited when the two wards become one from today.

The main road of Gia Phuc commune (Gia Loc) is brightly decorated with flags and flowers to celebrate the merger day. Gia Phuc commune was established on the basis of merging Gia Tan commune and Gia Khanh commune, with a natural area of 8.13 km² and a population of 12,816 people.

Thai Minh commune is the only new commune in Binh Giang district, merged from Binh Minh and Thai Hoc communes. Thai Minh commune People's Council delegates vote to elect the position of Chairman of the commune People's Council.

It was Sunday, but the atmosphere in the newly-rearranged and merged communes, wards and towns in Hai Duong was more bustling and crowded than usual. Delegates of the People's Council of Ninh Giang town, term XXII, 2021-2025, also voted to elect the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Ninh Giang town this morning after merging the old Dong Tam commune into Ninh Giang town.

People in Thanh Tan commune, Thanh Ha district (merged from Thanh Xa and Thanh Thuy communes) were also excited to take their children to get vitamin A on the first day in the new commune.

In the 2023-2025 period, Hai Duong will reorganize 57 commune-level administrative units into 28 new units, officially coming into operation from December 1. Specifically:

Hai Duong city has Le Thanh Nghi ward (merging Pham Ngu Lao and Le Thanh Nghi wards).

Binh Giang district has Thai Minh commune (merged two communes Binh Minh and Thai Hoc).

Thanh Ha district has the following communes: Cam Viet (merged with two communes Viet Hong and Cam Che); Thanh Tan (merged with two communes Thanh Xa and Thanh Thuy); Vinh Cuong (merged with two communes Vinh Lap and Thanh Cuong); Thanh Ha town (merged with Thanh Khe commune and Thanh Ha town).

Cam Giang district has Phuc Dien commune (merged Cam Dien and Cam Phuc communes); Cam Giang town (merged Thach Loi commune and Cam Giang town).

Kim Thanh district has Vu Dung commune (merged with Co Dung and Thuong Vu communes); Lai Khe commune (merged with Lai Vu and Cong Hoa communes); Hoa Binh commune (merged with Binh Dan and Lien Hoa communes); Phu Thai town (merged with Phuc Thanh commune and Phu Thai town and part of Quynh Khe 1 village, Kim Xuyen commune).

Kinh Mon town has Duy Tan ward (merging Hoanh Son commune and Duy Tan ward).

Ninh Giang district has the following communes: Kien Phuc (merged with 2 communes Hong Phuc and Kien Quoc); Duc Phuc (merged with 2 communes Van Phuc and Hong Duc); Binh Xuyen (merged with 2 communes Dong Xuyen and Ninh Hai); Ninh Giang town (merged with Dong Tam commune and Ninh Giang town).

Tu Ky district has the following communes: Ky Son (merged with two communes: Ngoc Ky and Tai Son); Dan An (merged with two communes: Quang Nghiep and Dan Chu); Lac Phuong (merged with two communes: Phuong Ky and Cong Lac).

Nam Sach district has the following communes: Tran Phu (merged with 2 communes Nam Trung and Nam Chinh); An Phu (merged with 2 communes Phu Dien and An Lam); Quoc Tuan (merged with 2 communes Thanh Quang and Quoc Tuan); Nam Sach town (merged with 2 communes Nam Hong and Nam Sach town).

Gia Loc district has the following communes: Gia Tien (merged with Tan Tien and Gia Luong communes); Gia Phuc (merged with Gia Tan and Gia Khanh communes); Nhat Quang (merged with Nhat Tan and Dong Quang communes) and Quang Duc commune (merged with Quang Minh and Duc Xuong communes).
