Hai Duong arrests 173 subjects related to drugs

Since the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes during the Tet holiday of Giap Thin, Hai Duong police at all levels have arrested 173 subjects related to drugs.

According to the Provincial Police's summary, from the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes during the 2024 Lunar New Year (December 15, 2023) to January 29, 2024, police agencies at all levels in the province have arrested 152 cases and 173 subjects related to the buying, selling, storing, using, organizing, and harboring illegal use of drugs, seizing nearly 19.7 grams of heroin and nearly 340 grams of synthetic drugs.

Some typical cases include on January 4, Kinh Mon town police caught Le Quang Anh (born in 1999, in Tho The commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa) illegally selling 0.442 grams of ketamine to users. In addition, Anh also voluntarily handed over more than 111.9 grams of MDMA and nearly 29.6 grams of ketamine that he was hiding to sell for profit.

Also in early January, Binh Giang District Police successfully dismantled a sophisticated drug trafficking ring operated by Pham Trung Tinh (born in 1983, residing in Nhan Kiet village, Hung Thang commune) and Vu Van Hai (born in 1991 in Ho Lien village, Vinh Hung commune, both in Binh Giang district)...
