They pretend to be electricity employees or claim to be collaborators of the electricity company, contacting customers directly or by phone, saying they sell electricity insurance or asking customers to provide photos of electricity bills to get a refund of the percentage of the bill. These subjects often use phone numbers starting with +371, +375, +381 (European prefixes) to call.
According to Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd., the unit does not sell electricity insurance nor does it refund % of money according to electricity bills. People do not provide personal information to scammers.
