Due to the lack of a sewer system, domestic wastewater from some households in Le Loi town (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) stagnates in the area behind their houses, causing environmental pollution.
Households in Le Loi town, opposite the gate of Le Loi commune People's Committee, have lived here for a long time.
Around 2019, the Commune People's Committee sold the land behind to households, including part of the land and part of the canal. In the past, some households who bought the land filled the land, built houses, and lived in this area. They filled in part of the canal to make a road. However, there were households that did not fill in the canal, creating a low-lying area containing wastewater.
Previously, wastewater flowed through the irrigation canal system, but when the canal was rebuilt, it was blocked, the water had no place to escape and stagnated, causing pollution.
It is known that the leaders of Le Loi Commune People's Committee have grasped the pollution situation in this area and have worked with specialized agencies.
People living here are looking forward to the construction of a drainage system and roads soon.
