Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung encouraged young people of Hai Duong City to join the army in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee Tran Ho Dang praised the enthusiasm and pioneering spirit of the city's youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. In recent years, Hai Duong City's defense and security work has achieved many important achievements. The city's armed forces are increasingly strong in politics, ideology and organization when closely and effectively implementing all assigned tasks. The work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army every year always meets 100% of the target. The quality of young people joining the army has been improved, many young people during their military service strive to become party members, cadres, officers, professional soldiers, etc.

The Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee hopes that the young men who are going to join the army will study and train in a disciplined, self-conscious and strict environment to carry out the sacred task of protecting the Fatherland. The excellent young people will continue to promote the tradition of previous generations, always striving to do their best to complete the assigned tasks.

In 2024, Hai Duong City will have 218 male citizens joining the army, including 195 young men joining the military service and 23 young men joining the people's police service. Of these, 68 young men volunteered to join the army, 31 young men have university or college degrees.
