With the implementation of 2,050 cases from 2018 to June 2024, Hai Duong Bar Association has actively contributed to the socio-economic development and judicial reform of the province.
On August 24 and 25, the Hai Duong Provincial Bar Association held its 10th Congress for the 2024-2029 term. Attending the congress were leaders of the Vietnam Bar Federation and a number of provincial departments, agencies and branches.
Speaking at the congress, the leaders of the Vietnam Bar Federation and the Department of Justice of Hai Duong province assessed that the activities of the provincial Bar Association have been carried out in a systematic and systematic manner, helping legal entities to "Live and work according to the Constitution and the law". Lawyers have made important contributions to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, effectively supporting businesses to create a legal environment to attract investment and business; promoting administrative procedure reform of both state agencies in the area.
From 2018 to June 2024, professional organizations in the province have handled 2,050 cases, an increase of more than 25% compared to the previous term. Of which, 579 cases were involved in litigation and 1,471 cases were outside litigation. Through professional activities, the team of lawyers in the province has contributed to clarifying and clarifying criminal and civil cases, ensuring the right person, the right crime, and protecting legitimate rights and interests, in compliance with the provisions of the law. With the achieved results, the practice of lawyers has made a positive contribution to socio-economic development and judicial reform.
During the 2024-2029 term, the Provincial Bar Association sets out 10 key tasks.
Accordingly, focus on building and strengthening solidarity in the Executive Board, the Council of Rewards and Discipline and members of the delegation. Arouse and promote the sense of self-awareness and sense of responsibility for building and developing lawyers. Promote propaganda and promotion of the Hai Duong lawyer team. Strengthen the dissemination of legal education to people, contributing to preventing violations of the law, ensuring the rights and interests of people. Focus on professional training for member lawyers; pay attention to supporting law practice trainees. Register with the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee on lawyers' participation in supporting the settlement of petitions and some other areas...

The Congress elected 5 lawyers to the Executive Committee and 4 lawyers to the Reward and Discipline Council for the 2024-2029 term. Lawyer Nguyen Kieu Dong was elected as Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial Bar Association for the 2024-2029 term.
On this occasion, 9 groups and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam Bar Federation and the Provincial People's Committee for their achievements in practicing law and in the activities of the Provincial Bar Association.
Hai Duong currently has 17 law practice organizations (13 offices, 4 law firms) represented by lawyers of the Provincial Bar Association. Most of the law practice organizations are headquartered in Hai Duong City. Currently, the Provincial Bar Association has 66 member lawyers (an increase of 21 people compared to the beginning of the 2019-2024 term), this is the term with the largest increase in the number of member lawyers ever.
