Hai Duong Provincial Bar Association achieved many outstanding results

With the attention of the Vietnam Bar Federation, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches, sectors and organizations in the province, in 2023, the Hai Duong Provincial Bar Association achieved many outstanding results, contributing to the mission of protecting justice, developing the socio-economy, building a fair, democratic and civilized society.

Last year, law firms handled 422 cases, an increase of 25 cases compared to 2022. Of these, 242 cases were involved in litigation, 131 cases were provided with legal advice and other legal services, and 49 cases were provided with legal aid. During the year, the Executive Board assigned 213 times to law firms to send lawyers to defend suspects and defendants in 64 criminal cases at the request of the prosecution agencies at all stages: investigation, prosecution, first instance trial and appeal. Many law firms have operated effectively, such as A Dong, Tam Duc Phuc, Tam A, Bao Chanh, Bao Cong, Bao Tin, Chu Van Chien, etc.

The Provincial Bar Association currently has 58 members. Lawyers and law trainees in the Association are always aware of their professional and social responsibilities, ready to bring their intelligence, qualifications and enthusiasm to serve the socio-economic development needs of the locality, constantly improve themselves, and contribute with the Executive Board of the Association to build and develop the Provincial Bar Association to become stronger and stronger.

Promoting the achieved results, in 2024, the Provincial Bar Association will continue to strengthen the organization, build, consolidate and develop law practice organizations with a team of lawyers increasing in quantity and ensuring quality. Focus on training to have many good lawyers participating in litigation of cases with foreign elements; increase legal support for businesses; actively participate in free legal aid for policy beneficiaries; provide free consultation to people.
