The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has just proposed that on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, workers will have 9 days off, from December 26 to January 5.
According to information from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, this agency is consulting with ministries and branches to submit to the Prime Minister a proposal for the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.
In the draft proposal, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs proposed a plan for the Lunar New Year holiday: 5 days off according to regulations, including 2 days off before Tet and 3 days off after Tet.
Specifically, civil servants and public employees will have Lunar New Year holidays from Saturday, January 25, 2025 to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (December 26, year of the Dragon, to January 5, year of the Snake).
Thus, with this plan, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, civil servants and public employees will have 9 days off (including 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off every week).
In previous years, many proposals for the Lunar New Year holiday schedule were put forward because it might be necessary to swap holidays. This year, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has only one Tet holiday plan for civil servants, public employees and workers.
