New Year Holiday Schedule

Major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Hai Phong, and Da Nang have all announced that students at all levels will have a one-day holiday for the 2025 New Year.

Colleges and universities, holidays depend on the school's academic calendar and individual courses. In addition to the general holiday schedule, the number of holidays and Tet holidays for students also follow the special regulations of each university or college.

Semester 1 holiday schedule

According to the 2024-2025 school year schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, the first semester will end before January 18, 2025, the program will be completed and the school year will end before May 31, 2025.

Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of secondary school graduation before June 30, 2025.

Complete enrollment for first grade classes before July 31, 2025.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.

The local school year schedule must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester 1 and 17 weeks for semester 2). The school year schedule must be suitable to the characteristics and practical conditions of the locality.

Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. Teachers' annual leave is implemented during the summer vacation or can be arranged alternately at other times of the year to suit the specific characteristics and school year schedule of the locality.

The school year schedule needs to ensure consistency for all levels of education in a residential area, especially in general schools with many levels of education.
