The admission method based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam only accounts for 25% of the quota. The two remaining admission methods are direct admission (2% of the quota) and admission based on the thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (3% of the quota).

The school also plans to have a minimum score threshold to ensure input quality (the minimum score required to receive candidates' applications) of 20 points with the admission method based on graduation exam scores.High Schooland 18 points with the admission method based on the thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The school also has specific regulations on priority bonus points by region and by subject.

In the project, the National Economics University also clearly stated the orientation of enrollment in the following years. Specifically, in 2024, the school will basically maintain the same level as in 2023. From 2025, the main method of admission will be combined with streamlining in the direction of using the results of the competency assessment exam of national universities or independent testing centers (if any) combined with international certificates (SAT, ACT, IELTS ...).
