Candidates failed the National Economics University entrance exam just because they forgot to… check their email

Recently, a candidate taking the entrance exam to the National Economics University shared his regretful story of failing to get into the school through the early admission method despite having enough passing scores according to this method.

Accordingly, the candidate registered to take the school entrance exam using a combination of international English certificates and 2024 high school graduation exam scores. However, because he forgot to check his email inbox, this candidate did not follow the school's instructions to enter his high school graduation exam scores and registration number into the admission system on time.

The school even sent a “reminder” email to the candidate before the deadline at 5 p.m. on July 20, but only after the benchmark scores were announced did the candidate discover that he had forgotten to declare his high school graduation exam score. This also meant that he would not be considered for admission using this method.

The case of failing the university entrance exam due to the candidate's mistakes has made many people regretful. The representative of the admissions department of the National Economics University said that the candidate's responsibility is to enter the full score and on time as required. In case of not entering, the candidate will not be considered for admission to the school by this method.

This person said that in the project and announcement of combined admission for group 3, it is clearly stated that candidates must enter their 2024 high school graduation exam scores into their application as a basis for admission according to the school's regulations.

In the first announcement, the school also instructed candidates on how to enter their scores. One day before the deadline, the school continued to remind candidates a second time with the update time until 5:00 p.m. on July 20.

“In addition to the official announcements, the school has also widely posted this information on the school’s fanpage and sent individual emails reminding each candidate. If they still do not comply with the request, the candidate will not be considered for admission,” this person said.

The school representative also said that this was an "unfortunate mistake", and that candidates need to be careful with the admission process to ensure their rights and not miss the opportunity to enter the university gate.

“However, the school has many methods for admission. In case candidates are not admitted to the school through the early admission method, they should stay calm because there is still a chance to be admitted to the school,” he advised.
