In 2022, Hanoi University of Pharmacy plans to enroll 950 students, open new majors in biotechnology, chemistry, and high-quality pharmacy, and add a method of considering thinking test scores.
This year, Hanoi University of Pharmacy plans to enroll students in 4 ways: direct admission according to regulations and direct admission of candidates with SAT or ACT, admission for excellent students in specialized classes of national or provincial/municipal gifted high schools, admission based on the results of the 2022 high school graduation exam and adding a new method of admission based on the thinking assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
This year, Hanoi University of Pharmacy enrolls 950 students (190 more than in 2021) for 4 majors, of which pharmacy, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacy enroll students according to block A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and block B00 (math, chemistry, biology) for biotechnology.
For the direct admission method of SAT/ACT certificate, candidates must graduate from high school, have achieved good academic performance for 3 years, and have high school academic results for each year of each subject in the admission combination of the major not less than 8.0. In 2021, Hanoi University of Pharmacy requires a minimum SAT score of 1,400 for pharmacy and 1,300 for other majors. For ACT, candidates must score from 30 points for pharmacy and 27 points for other majors.
For the admission method for excellent students of specialized classes of specialized high schools, candidates in all 3 years of grades 10, 11, 12 must be students of specialized classes in math, physics, chemistry, biology and must be excellent students, graduate from high school and have high school study results in each year of each subject in the admission group of the major not less than 8.0. The school also reserves 60 places for the high-quality training program for the pharmaceutical industry. Candidates wishing to participate in the high-quality program must take the entrance English proficiency test or convert international English certificate scores (if any).
