Hanoi University of Pharmacy plans to collect tuition fees of 18.5-24.5 million VND per year for two traditional training majors, an increase of 4-10 million VND compared to present.

The new tuition fees according to Decree 81 of the government are 18.5 and 24.5 million VND per year, respectively. This is 4.2 and 10.2 million VND higher than the current level. For the high-quality Pharmacy program, the school charges 49.5 million VND, 4.5 million VND higher.

Chemistry and Biotechnology are two new majors that have been enrolling students since last year. Tuition fees are expected to remain the same, at 13.5 million VND per year.

Hanoi University of Pharmacy said that tuition fees can be adjusted to suit training reality, but will not increase more than 10% compared to the previous year's level in the first three years and 5% for the following two years.

In 2023, Hanoi University of Pharmacy will use four methods similar to last year, including direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; combined consideration of high school transcripts with SAT, ACT certificates, and admission for students from specialized schools; consideration of thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; consideration of high school graduation exam scores.

With the combined method, Pharmacy requires an SAT score of 1350/1600 and an ACT score of 30/36. The remaining majors require an SAT score of 1300 and an ACT score of 27. In addition, students need to have good academic performance for three years, with a score of no less than 8 in each subject in the admission combination.

The calculation of admission score is as follows: Admission score = SAT score * 90/1600 (or ACT score * 90/36) + (Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3) / 3 + Priority points (if any) * 100/30.

If you are a student at a specialized school, you will use your high school results for consideration. The academic requirements are similar to the above method. The admission score is the average score of three subjects in three years and the priority score.

With direct admission, specialized school admission and combined admission methods, the school accepts online applications from May 22.

In addition, Hanoi University of Pharmacy considers candidates with a score of 80/100 on the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test. Candidates must have a score of at least 7 in Math, Physics, and Chemistry in high school. For Pharmacy, the 12th grade academic performance must be good or higher.

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the school also has similar requirements.

Last year, the benchmark score for Hanoi University of Pharmacy based on the highest graduation exam score was 26 points for Pharmacy, followed by Pharmaceutical Chemistry at 25.8; Biotechnology at 23.45; and Chemistry at 22.95.
