Subject Vu Thi Tuyet, from Ninh Binh, currently living in Hai Duong city, has been acting as a sex broker on social networks.
Through professional work, the Criminal Police Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police discovered that Vu Thi Tuyet (also known as Phuong, born in 1988, permanent resident of Dong Tam 2 village, Son Ha commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province), currently living in Tan Binh ward (Hai Duong city) used to be a prostitute in Laos, showing signs of suspicious prostitution brokerage activities on the internet.
Tuyet is the administrator of the group “Hai Duong Red Light District” on Facebook with 2,200 members and a member of the Telegram chat group “Check rv Hai Duong” with 1,831 members. The main activities of these two groups are posting news, articles, and interacting and sharing content related to prostitution in Hai Duong province.
The Criminal Police Department has established a special project to combat and destroy.
On April 16, a working group of the Criminal Police Department (Provincial Police) in coordination with Thanh Binh Ward Police (Hai Duong City) inspected Truong An Hotel and Bao An 1 Motel (both located in Thanh Binh Ward) and discovered and caught Vu Thi Tuyet and 4 other prostitutes selling sex to customers. These 4 prostitutes were all members of the group "Hai Duong Red Light District" and the group "Check rv Hai Duong" and all sold sex under the guidance and brokerage of Tuyet.
Along with the arrest of Tuyet, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police promptly prevented Tuyet from colluding with other subjects to leave the country for Bamako City, Republic of Mali (Africa) on April 19 to practice prostitution to avoid detection by the authorities, while continuing to operate the "Hai Duong Red Light District" group.
Based on collected documents and evidence, on April 18, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency decided to temporarily detain Vu Thi Tuyet for prostitution brokerage and decided to prosecute the criminal case of prostitution brokerage under Clause 2, Article 328 of the Penal Code.
The Criminal Police Department continues to coordinate with relevant units to investigate and expand the case, thoroughly handling related subjects according to the provisions of law.
