Police in 5 provinces discovered many officials and civil servants violating alcohol concentration

The Traffic Police Department said that in order to implement the plan to inspect and urge the general control of passenger transport vehicles, container freight vehicles and violations of traffic order and safety, on September 23, the Department's working groups coordinated with the police of 5 localities of Bac Giang, Dak Lak, Tra Vinh, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh to directly control vehicles participating in traffic in the area.

Through inspection, the Traffic Police discovered and handled 199 cases of driving vehicles violating alcohol concentration (54 cars, 144 motorbikes, 1 electric motorbike), and one case of not complying with the request to check alcohol concentration.

Notably, in the violations, there were 3 cases of people claiming to be reporters and journalists (some cases presented their press cards to the working group) and 7 officials and civil servants.

In Bac Giang province, the Traffic Police Department arranged 3 working groups to coordinate with the Traffic Police Department of Bac Giang Provincial Police, the Traffic Police - Order Team of Bac Giang City Police to conduct inspections on Hung Vuong, 398, Tan My, Xuong Giang streets, Bac Giang City. Thereby, 100 cases were detected and handled, of which 92 cases (25 cars, 66 motorbikes, 1 electric motorbike) violated alcohol concentration when driving.

Among these, one case is the Deputy Director of the Land Fund Center of Bac Giang City; one case is the Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Giang City.

In Dak Lak, the Traffic Police Department arranged a working group to coordinate with the Provincial Traffic Police Department and Buon Ma Thuot City Police, Ea Kar District Police to control violations; detected and handled 45 cases (18 cars, 27 motorbikes) violating alcohol concentration while driving, including two journalists, the Director of Buon Ma Thuot City Post Office, Head of the Finance-Planning Department of Ea Kar District; one case was the Deputy Head of the Economic-Infrastructure Department of Ea Kar District and two civil servants (Director of Inspection Station No. 4703D, Ea Dar Commune, Ea Kar District and one case declared to be an officer of the Dak Lak Veterinary Department).

In Tra Vinh, the Department's forces coordinated with the Traffic Police - Order Team of Duyen Hai Town Police and the Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Tra Vinh Province Police to conduct alcohol concentration checks on a number of routes in Duyen Hai Town, Tra Vinh Province. Through the inspection, 35 cases were detected and handled, including 33 cases of alcohol concentration violations, one case of a motorbike driver who did not comply with alcohol concentration testing.

In Nghe An, checking alcohol concentration on National Highway 1A in block 5 of Dien Chau town, the authorities discovered and handled 10 cases of alcohol concentration violations.

In Ha Tinh, checking alcohol concentration on Tran Phu Street, Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh City, Traffic Police discovered and handled 20 violations, including 19 cases of alcohol concentration violations, including one case of a reporter.
