According to information from local people, at around 1:30 p.m. on August 4, a large fire broke out at a shoe sole processing workshop in La Xa village, Dan Chu commune, Tu Ky district (Hai Duong).
This is a leather shoe manufacturing workshop so the fire spread quickly. This production area has a total area of about 500 m2.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police), Tu Ky District Police mobilized fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
By around 3:30 p.m., the fire was basically under control. Workers inside the factory discovered the fire and ran out in time. The fire did not cause any human casualties, but the factory containing many shoe soles was burned down.
Currently, authorities are assessing the damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
According to the People's Committee of Dan Chu commune, the factory fire occurred at a business owned by Mr. Pham Van Tiep (residing in La Xa village, Dan Chu commune).
