On March 1, British authorities urgently evacuated more than 100 people after a serious fire broke out at a residential building in the South Kensington area of ​​London.

According to firefighters, 11 people were hospitalized for treatment of smoke inhalation symptoms.

The fire broke out in a five-storey block of flats on Emperor's Gate in south-west London, close to the Natural History Museum. Around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines were sent to the scene.

According to information on social network X, the London Fire Brigade said that when firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed nearly 50% of the building's first floor and quickly spread to the top floor and roof. Crews are still working to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings.

About 130 residents were evacuated from the burning building and nearby buildings.
