A special mark of the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Giang district was that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, in his capacity as Chairman of the National Assembly, attended the "National Great Unity Day" in Bo Duong village, Hong Phong commune (Ninh Giang) on ​​the morning of November 14, 2009, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2009).

At the festival, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong praised the solidarity of the people of Bo Duong village; expressed his joy at the local achievements in economic development, improving people's lives; and building a rich and beautiful homeland. That day, there seemed to be no distance between the Party and State leaders and cadres, party members, and people. Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong was very affectionate, close, and kindly visited the people, the elderly, children, women, etc. Just by such simple actions, we can clearly see the great personality of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hidden deep inside the image of a simple and close leader. At that time, I was holding the position of Head of the District Party Committee's Organization Committee, so I paid special attention to the instructions and advice of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong, especially on Party building work.

At the National Foreign Affairs Conference on December 14, 2021, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong summarized and affirmed the very special and unique foreign affairs and diplomacy viewpoint of our Party and State in the new situation, which is the "Vietnamese bamboo" school, "firm roots, strong trunk, flexible branches"... imbued with the soul, character and spirit of the Vietnamese people.

Since 2022, under the leadership of the Party, directly by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the strength of "Vietnamese bamboo" diplomacy has been strongly promoted, creating historic turning points, qualitative changes in the relationship between Vietnam and major partners through visits and signing programs of heads of state of major countries with Vietnam, typically the visits of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol (June 2023); the visit of US President Joe Biden (September 2023), thereby raising the level of relations from Comprehensive Partnership (established in 2013) to the highest level of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, bypassing the level of Strategic Partnership; the visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping (December 2023); Most recently, the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin (June 2024) has deepened the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership... The achievements of Vietnam's foreign affairs and diplomacy in recent years have had an important role and mark of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. It is thanks to the correct foreign policy and diplomatic school that has helped Vietnam gain its current prominent position and prestige in the international arena.

The passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has left behind feelings of regret and emotion in everyone, including myself.
