Like losing a loved one

"Although we know that life and death are the laws of nature, no one can avoid them, when we received the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, we were shocked, many people choked up and shed tears. In my mind, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an outstanding communist and a talented leader of the Party and State, with heart, vision, strategic thinking and far-sightedness," Mr. Chien emotionally said.
Mr. Pham Quang Hoc, born in 1950 in Nam Sach town, said that when he received the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing from a relative, he was very emotional: "I feel the loss is not only mine. Although I have never had the good fortune to meet the General Secretary, through each speech and each book of his, I have greatly admired and loved General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong."
Mr. Bui Quang Thanh, 76 years old, 56 years of Party membership in village 1, Thanh Xa commune (Thanh Ha) shared that he has many special feelings for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Mr. Thanh was born on April 14, 1948, the same day as the General Secretary, and was admitted to the Party in December 1967 with the General Secretary. “Over the years, every time the General Secretary gave an important speech at any conference, meeting or gave instructions or articles about the General Secretary, I read and followed them very closely. Through the General Secretary's way of directing and speaking, I felt the intimacy, affection, and closeness of a leader of the Party and State and trusted the Party's leadership even more. Now that I am old, I only regret that I am not healthy enough to go to Hanoi to see off the General Secretary.”
Follow the shining example
Party member Dang Quoc Bao, 70 years old, in Thanh Xa commune (Thanh Ha), said that what he admired and respected about comrade Nguyen Phu Trong was his simplicity, his integration with the masses, his closeness, friendliness, and his listening to voters and people. Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong devoted himself to the end of his life, and even when his health was no longer stable, he was still devoted to the Party and the country. Referring to comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Mr. Bao said that he would forever have deep respect for the "great furnace" in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
Mr. Bao was moved to share his impressions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's statement: "We only live once, so we must live meaningfully, so as not to regret mean, cowardly, and shameless actions; what's the point of having a lot of money, you can't take it with you when you die. Honor is the most sacred and noble thing!". Those statements show his steadfast spirit in the work of preventing corruption and negativity.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Cuong, Head of the Propaganda Department, Political Department, Hai Duong Provincial Military Command, the shining example of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is the motivation for every officer and soldier to always strive, be highly determined, and excellently complete all assigned tasks. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Cuong said that as the head of the Party and the Central Military Commission, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has paid attention to building a disciplined, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Army. In particular, he focused on training and fostering a contingent of military officers who must be strong enough, virtuous enough, talented enough, and have high prestige; superiors must set an example for subordinates, and commanders must be exemplary before the entire unit, following the spirit of "7 dares": dare to think; dare to speak; dare to do; dare to take responsibility; dare to innovate and be creative; dare to face difficulties and challenges and dare to act for the common good.
