The Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Provincial Police has just decided to prosecute and execute an arrest warrant for 3 subjects in Gia Loc related to football betting during EURO 2024 season.

Based on the collected investigation documents, the Criminal Police Department of Hai Duong Provincial Police determined that, taking advantage of the EURO 2024 football tournament, Nguyen Minh Ngoc (born in 1980), Doan Van Nghia (born in 1988, both residing in Cao Due village, Nhat Tan commune, Gia Loc) discussed and agreed to take betting "odds" of football matches from online football betting websites provided to others to gamble illegally in the form of football betting.
On July 2 and 3, Ngoc and Nghia received many football bets from many people on EURO football matches, including bets from Do Hong Hung (born in 1991 in Dong Quang commune, Gia Loc) on two matches between Romania and the Netherlands and Portugal and Slovenia.
On July 3, the Criminal Police Department discovered the above crimes of the subjects.
The Provincial Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted and executed an arrest warrant for Ngoc, Nghia, and Hung for gambling and continues to investigate and clarify the case.
