The number of gold medals won by the Vietnamese Sports Delegation continued to increase after the athletes competed successfully on the afternoon of May 13.
Athletes Ta Duc Huy and Nguyen Cuong Thinh excellently won gold medals for the Vietnam Judo Team.
Boxer Bui Phuoc Tung successfully knocked out his Thai opponent in the final match of the men's 71kg weight class, bringing home the first gold medal in boxing for Vietnam. Boxer Ha Thi Linh also defeated her Filipino opponent in the 63kg weight class and won the second gold medal for Vietnamese boxing.
In judo, the Vietnamese team continued to win the gold medal in the Ju No Kata event. This is the second gold medal in judo. Earlier in the day, Ta Duc Huy and Nguyen Cuong Thinh won the gold medal in the Kime No Kata event. Meanwhile, the pair of athletes Nguyen Bao Ngoc and Tran Le Phuong Nga won the silver medal in the Ju No Kata event.
In tennis, Ly Hoang Nam entered the men's singles final after a 2-0 (6.4, 7.6) victory over Cambodian host Kenny Bun. Hoang Nam's opponent in the final was Indonesian tennis player Fitriadi.
