Former Principal of Dong Nai University arrested

The Investigation Security Agency of Dong Nai Province Police issued a Decision to Prosecute the Defendant and execute an Arrest Warrant to temporarily detain the defendant Tran Minh Hung, former Principal of Dong Nai University.

According to information from Dong Nai Provincial Police, through the investigation of the case of abusing position and power while performing official duties that occurred at Dong Nai University, on the morning of June 6, the Investigation Security Agency of Dong Nai Provincial Police coordinated with the Provincial People's Procuracy to execute the Arrest Warrant for temporary detention, and the Search Warrant for the residence and workplace of Tran Minh Hung (born in 1965, former Principal of Dong Nai University) and Phan Van Thanh (born in 1959, former Head of the Planning and Finance Department of Dong Nai University).

In addition, the Security Investigation Agency also executed a search warrant on the residence and workplace of related individuals who are lecturers and educational management staff of the school.

This is a case under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Dong Nai province. The investigation determined that the above-mentioned defendants had committed serious violations in their work to the extent that they must be prosecuted for criminal liability.

Authorities are continuing to expand the investigation, consolidate documents and evidence to handle the case in accordance with the law.
