11-year-old child beaten by mother and lover: One suspect temporarily detained

On the afternoon of July 1, Phu Tho Provincial Police issued information stating that: The Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police issued a decision to prosecute and arrest Le Xuan Hung (42 years old, residing in Phuong Lau Commune, Viet Tri City) for the act of intentionally causing injury, as prescribed in Article 134 of the Penal Code.

According to Phu Tho Provincial Police, the temporary detention of the above-mentioned suspect was carried out under the direction of Colonel Nguyen Minh Tuan, Director of the Provincial Police, to the Chief of Viet Tri City Police on urgently organizing the verification and investigation of the case of CSNM (11 years old), suspected of being injured by his biological mother and lover.

The Investigation Police Agency, Viet Tri City Police urgently summoned the relevant subjects, quickly investigated and handled according to regulations.

Initially, the police had sufficient grounds to determine Le Xuan Hung's intentional act of causing injury.

Previously, at around 10:00 p.m. on June 25, at the house of Ms. Cao Thi Nhan (42 years old, M.'s biological mother) in zone 7, Phuong Lau commune, an 11-year-old child was beaten.

Authorities determined: Due to conflicts in family life, Le Xuan Hung (M.'s biological mother's boyfriend) used a yellow electric wire to hit M. many times, causing many bruises on her body.

The incident was discovered and reported by local residents. The results of the forensic examination by the Forensic Center and the Department of Health of Phu Tho province concluded that the percentage of physical injury suffered by M. was 5%.

The Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police continues to expand the investigation and consolidate the records of acts of violence against children (if any) for strict handling according to regulations.
