Phan Thiet City Police, Binh Thuan Province, said they have extradited suspect Pham Van Linh (59 years old) from Ho Chi Minh City to investigate the act of falsifying documents of agencies and organizations.

Phan Thiet City Police had previously arrested Linh on July 5 at his home in Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City to assist in the investigation of the above act. Linh was prosecuted in September 2022 but was released on bail.
According to the initial investigation, from 2018-2019, the defendant Linh, who was then a doctor and former head of the food safety and hygiene department of Phan Thiet City Medical Center, forged the signature of a center leader to make many health examination papers.
Defendant Linh gave the above health certificates to food businesses in Phan Thiet City to supplement and legalize the application for a certificate of food safety and hygiene eligibility.
At the same time, the above certificates also serve the annual inspection teams on food safety and hygiene in the area. The case is still under investigation.
