Handing over the case of 2,400 fake Apollo Silicone glue bottles in Binh Giang to the investigation agency

Implementing the decision of the Director of the Market Management Department of Hai Duong province, Mobile Market Management Team No. 5 has just completed the procedures to hand over the case of the subject trading in 2,400 bottles of Apollo Silicone glue with fake labels and packaging to the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong province for handling and consideration of criminal prosecution.

Previously, on January 13, Mobile Market Management Team No. 5 (Market Management Department of Hai Duong province) coordinated with Team 3 of the Police Department of Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy, Smuggling, and Environment (Provincial Police) to conduct a search of the Apollo Silicone glue storage warehouse (located in Quan village, Binh Xuyen commune, Binh Giang) directly managed, used, and exploited by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung for business activities. This location also did not have a business registration according to regulations.

The results of the investigation revealed that there were 2,400 bottles of Apollo Silicone glue of various types with signs of counterfeit product labels in the warehouse. On the label of each glue bottle was written (printed directly on the bottle) the content: "Bottled by Apollo Silicone International Investment Joint Stock Company. Transaction office: 18 - 20 Le Quy Don, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Bottled at Apollo Silicone Hung Yen factory, address: Dinh Du village, Dinh Du commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province, Vietnam" and some other information and images.

Through verification and working with the authorized representative of Apollo Silicone Group Joint Stock Company (headquarter address: 18 - 20 Le Quy Don, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), the manufacturer of genuine Apollo Silicone glue products, it was determined that the 2,400 bottles of Apollo Silicone glue mentioned above had counterfeit product labels.

According to the price list provided by Apollo Silicone Group Corporation (the price of genuine goods manufactured by the company, including VAT), the total value of the above counterfeit goods calculated according to the price of genuine goods of the same type is more than 130 million VND.

Assessing that the above case has signs of crime as prescribed in Article 192 of the Penal Code, the Market Management Department of Hai Duong province held an interdisciplinary meeting with the Provincial Police and the Provincial People's Procuracy and agreed to hand over the case to the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Provincial Police to investigate, clarify and handle according to regulations.
