According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Giang district, by June 2024, the whole district had 36 households implementing concentrated land accumulation for production with a total area of 380.5 hectares, an increase of 1 household compared to the same period in 2023.
Localities with many households accumulating land are Vinh Hong, Thai Duong, Thuc Khang... In which the household accumulating the most land is 31 hectares, the household accumulating the least is 5 hectares. Households accumulating land mainly produce large-scale commercial rice and grow winter vegetables, fruit trees...
In land accumulation models, farmers apply scientific and technical advances and apply synchronous mechanization to production, thereby reducing input costs, care, preservation and disease prevention by 10 to 20%, increasing productivity by 10 to 20% compared to small-scale households. Production areas after accumulation have an average revenue of 110 to 200 million VND/ha/year, with economic efficiency 20-30% higher than before accumulation.
Binh Giang is one of the localities with large areas of land accumulation in the province.
