Since the beginning of February, 32 households along the road in Xuan Kieu village, Duc Chinh commune, Cam Giang district (Hai Duong) have completed donating residential land to expand the model road.
Households donated more than 1,500 m2 of residential land to expand Xuan Dai main road. Of these, many households donated more than 70 m2.2 land and dismantled dozens of meters of fences and solidly built gates. That is the result of the locality stepping up propaganda and mobilizing the whole population to join hands in building modern rural transportation.
The 497.4 m long Xuan Dai road, from the village cultural house to the gate of Xuan Kieu pagoda, was chosen to be built as a model new rural road. This road connecting Tien Kieu and Xuan Kieu hamlets has been under construction for many years, so it is narrow, degraded, the road surface has many potholes and is prone to environmental pollution.
With a total budget of nearly 5.8 billion VND, the above-mentioned road was widened from 3m to 6m and the surface upgraded from concrete to asphalt. The district supported 50% of the investment capital, the rest came from the commune's public investment budget in 2025. The project is invested by the People's Committee of Duc Chinh commune and is expected to be completed this year.
Duc Chinh is the first commune in Hai Duong province to meet the criteria of a new model rural area. Currently, the commune has 306 roads with a total length of 58.9 km that have basically been completed with hard materials.
