Tran Man Nhi and Tran Thuan Phong from Hai Duong City won prizes at the Painting Contest "Vietnamese - Cuban Children in Solidarity".
On September 26, in Quang Tri province, the 50th anniversary of Fidel Castro's visit to the liberated areas of South Vietnam (1973-2023) was celebrated. At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for the Painting Contest with the theme "Vietnamese and Cuban Children in Solidarity".
Hai Duong has 2 excellent students winning prizes in this contest. Tran Thuan Phong (class 7D, Le Hong Phong Secondary School) won second prize, Tran Man Nhi (class 2E, Nguyen Trai Primary School, Hai Duong City) won third prize and encouragement prize. Notably, Thuan Phong and Man Nhi are 2 siblings.
The painting contest was organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cuban leader Fidel Castro's visit to the liberated zone of South Vietnam in Quang Tri province (1973-2023). Taking place from June 1, the contest attracted 155,000 entries from children nationwide. The organizing committee awarded prizes to 50 outstanding entries.
On September 27, children and delegates laid flowers at the statue of leader Fidel Castro in Fidel Castro Park (Dong Ha City, Quang Tri); visited the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Route 9; and visited the historical site of the headquarters of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam (Cam Lo District, Quang Tri).
LINH LINH
