100 officers, soldiers and people found Hang Thi D. (2 years old, residing in Nam Xe commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province) after more than 10 hours of searching.
On the afternoon of December 17, Lai Chau Provincial Police said that at around 10:00 p.m. on December 16, Nam Xe Commune Police (Phong Tho District) received a report that D. (a preschool student at Van Ho 1 School) had gone missing after returning home from school.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Commune Police quickly deployed forces to the scene to verify and determined that the search area was a dangerous area with steep hills, deep ravines, and temperatures as low as 6 degrees Celsius.
The commune police determined that this was an emergency situation, so they reported it to their superiors and mobilized 100 people, including police officers, border guards, and local residents, to coordinate the search through the night.
After 10 hours of searching, at 7:30 this morning, December 17, at the foot of the mountain about 1 km from D.'s house, the search team found the child in poor health, with many scratches and a panicked state of mind.
The authorities and family took D. home to care for and restore his health. Currently, his health and mental state have gradually stabilized.
