This morning, in Phuc Yen city, the groundbreaking ceremony of the social housing project in Phuc Thang ward, Phuc Yen city (Vinh Phuc) took place.
The project has a scale of 1.6 hectares with a synchronously designed infrastructure system, providing 252 houses to the market.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, said that in recent years, Vinh Phuc province has focused on attracting investment and implementing many urban infrastructure projects, gradually forming infrastructure and urban appearance according to the general urban construction plan of Vinh Phuc approved by the Prime Minister in 2011. Including investment projects and construction of social housing for low-income people.
Mr. Dong affirmed that the social housing project in Phuc Thang ward is one of the projects that the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have paid much attention to and directed to remove difficulties and obstacles.
According to Mr. Dong, the groundbreaking ceremony is just the beginning and there is still a lot of work to be done with the investor to complete the project.
At the ceremony, the Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to implement the construction of the project quickly, effectively, safely, and with quality, and to be one of the models in implementing housing projects in the locality.
At the same time, the Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches and localities to urgently remove difficulties and obstacles, and implement related procedures to continue to start construction of the next social housing projects in the province in March and April 2025.
Thereby, it will complete the targets and tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in the investment project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030.
According to the Project “Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers” approved by the Prime Minister, in the period of 2021 - 2030, Vinh Phuc province will have to complete 28,300 social housing units. Of which, the period of 2022 - 2025 is 8,800 units, the period of 2026 - 2030 is 19,500 units.
