On the morning of November 14, Binh Giang District Police (Hai Duong) informed that they were handling a case where a subject came to smash the door and cause a fight at the house of a land official in Tan Hong commune.
According to the initial verification results of the police agency, at around 4:00 p.m. on November 12, the Working Group of the People's Committee of Tan Hong commune, including Mr. Le Xuan Ha, a land official; Dang Quang Tam, Chief of the Commune Police and Mr. Pham Van Am, Head of My Cau village, went to the construction site on the land plot in My Cau village owned by Mr. Tran Van Thiet (born in 1954, residing in Pham Ly village, Ngo Quyen commune, Thanh Mien), to remind and request Mr. Thiet to dismantle the part of the construction that had encroached on public land.
At this time, the Working Group could not meet Mr. Thiet, so they asked the people present to send him a message about the violation. Among those present at this time was Nguyen Hoang Viet (born in 1992, permanent resident of Doai village, Yen Lac town, Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc), currently living in My Cau village.
Viet was angry when he saw Mr. Ha reminding Mr. Thiet's family. At about 9:30 p.m. the same day, after drinking with a fellow villager, Tran Thanh Tai (born in 1983), Viet and Tai went to Mr. Ha's house (opposite Mr. Thiet's construction site) to quarrel. At this time, Mr. Ha's house had turned off the lights and was going to sleep, so Viet took an iron bar and an iron chair and broke a tempered glass window of Mr. Ha's house. Seeing that, Mr. Ha's family got up to open the door to talk, but Tai went into the house and continued to quarrel with Mr. Ha.
After that, Mr. Vu Van Cuong, an officer of the Tan Hong Commune People's Committee Office, came to stop them, but Viet rushed forward with a knife and threatened the people present. During the struggle and taking the knife from Viet, Mr. Ha suffered a minor injury to his left wrist, with torn skin. He had to go to the Binh Giang District Medical Center for first aid and returned home that night, with stable health. While trying to stop them, Mr. Cuong was hit against the wall, suffered pain in his head, and is being monitored at Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital, with stable health.
The police investigation agency has summoned the relevant subjects to work.
