Ngo Quyen commune youth make flower street worth over 100 million VND

These days, the youth of Ngo Quyen commune are rushing to complete the flower road worth more than 100 million VND to inaugurate it on March 26. The project started in September 2020 but was interrupted for many months due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

This road is located in the center of the commune, and is also the road leading to the commune's primary school and kindergarten. Although it has been concreted, both sides of the road are still full of weeds, making it unsightly. Therefore, the Commune Youth Union has taken on the responsibility of renovating both sides of this road into a youth flower road, planting 2,000 five-color flower trees; 30 Taiwan banyan trees, and yellow trumpet trees. On the road, there are also 35 propaganda poles about the Youth Union; 10 solar-powered lamp posts. The Ngo Quyen Commune Youth Union has placed 10 more stone benches for parents to wait when picking up their children. The cost of the project was mobilized by the Youth Union members from agencies, units, organizations, benefactors, and people far from home.

Mr. Vu Van Thai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ngo Quyen Commune, said that this is a project that is the heart and soul of the youth. "After completion, the Commune Youth Union will assign the Youth Union branches of kindergartens and primary schools to take care of and trim the flowers. The Youth Union members in the commune are responsible for protecting the project items," said Mr. Thai.

The Tan Trao Commune Youth Union also has a very practical job of investing funds to buy disinfectant spraying machines. The funds to buy the machines were mobilized by the Commune Youth Union from organizations and individuals. Since the beginning of March, the Commune Youth Union has sprayed disinfectants for free at 7 schools, including 5 kindergartens, 1 primary school and 1 secondary school. Mr. Nguyen Quang Yen, Secretary of the Tan Trao Commune Youth Union, said that the Commune Youth Union will organize disinfection spraying for schools before students return to school. In addition, the Youth Union branches will also arrange for Youth Union members to support schools in cleaning, wiping tables and chairs, ensuring a safe environment for children when going to school.

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, during the Youth Month, Thanh Mien District Youth Union plans to build youth projects for former Youth Union cadres in difficult circumstances. On this occasion, the District Youth Union will organize meetings to honor outstanding and outstanding Youth Union cadres; and present gifts to former Youth Union cadres.

Before entering March, Thanh Mien youth activities focused on preventing the Covid-19 epidemic. Because the epidemic situation in Thanh Mien is no longer complicated, the District Youth Union flexibly asked for the opinion of the Standing Committee of Thanh Mien District Party Committee to carry out traditional activities. Grassroots youth organizations urgently carried out projects and tasks in response to Youth Month while ensuring conditions for epidemic prevention.

On the Fanpage "Tuoi Tre Thanh Mien" and Zalo groups, propaganda and education content about the 90-year glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is regularly posted by youth union members in the district. Most grassroots unions have established small groups with appropriate numbers of people to organize other meaningful activities such as visiting and giving gifts to people with meritorious services in March, cleaning martyrs' cemeteries, planting trees, and supporting people to use Bluezone software.
