According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Mien district, this year's spring crop, the locality planted 6,000 hectares of rice, of which more than 40% of the area is high-quality rice.
By February 24, the district had completed 100% of the planting area, 5 days earlier than planned. The total area of rice planted by machines and hand tools was about 3,000 hectares, reaching 50% of the total area, an increase of 800 hectares compared to the previous spring crop. This is also the year Thanh Mien has had the largest area planted by machines and hand tools ever.
The whole district currently has about 100 land accumulation models with a total area of nearly 1,000 hectares, an increase of more than 200 hectares compared to the beginning of 2024. Thanh Mien is also a typical locality of the province in applying mechanization to agricultural production and land accumulation on a large scale.
