Promote the exemplary role of cadres

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Minh Commune, is one of the officials who always upholds an exemplary role and actively encourages party members and relatives to participate in social insurance.

With a wife who does business at home, since 2008, Mr. Tuan Anh has gone directly to the social insurance agency to register his wife for voluntary social insurance. He also encouraged many of his siblings and relatives to participate. As the Head of the Steering Committee for implementing social insurance and health insurance policies of the commune, he propagates and mobilizes in every meeting so that cadres, party members and people understand the benefits of participating in voluntary social insurance.

Mr. Tuan Anh said: "Currently, 100% of the spouses of cadres and party members of the Party Committee, People's Committee, and schools in the commune who are eligible to participate have participated in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance."

Binh Lang Kindergarten has a total of 28 female staff and teachers, many of whom have husbands who are self-employed, and many have not participated in voluntary social insurance. With many drastic solutions, up to now, 100% of female staff and teachers of the school and their husbands have participated in voluntary social insurance. In particular, temporary workers such as the school's nurses and security guards also participate in voluntary social insurance.

Sharing about the solution, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong, Principal of Binh Lang Kindergarten said: “From the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, the school held a meeting and considered this an important political task, attached to one of the school's emulation criteria. The school directly invited leaders of the District Social Insurance to propagate, mobilize, answer questions about social insurance policies, and raise awareness for staff and teachers."

After the school staff and teachers understood the advantages of participating in social insurance, they encouraged their husbands and relatives to participate as well.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a teacher at the school, after listening to the analysis, understood that if her husband was a freelance worker who did not participate in social insurance, then after retirement, the family's economy would depend on her small pension. Instead, each month her family deducted a small amount to pay voluntary social insurance for her husband so that when they retire, both husband and wife will have a pension.

The task of the entire political system

In 2023, the Standing Committee of Tu Ky District Party Committee issued a notice on continuing to promote the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies. It requires the Party Committees and People's Committees of communes and towns to thoroughly disseminate to Party cells and Party members that mobilizing people to participate in social insurance and health insurance is an important political task. At the same time, promote the exemplary role of cadres and Party members in propagating and mobilizing relatives and people to actively participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.

Party Committees of communes and towns issue specialized resolutions, assigning tasks and targets to mobilize people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance to village and residential area Party cells, Party cells of units, schools and organizations.

Communes and towns, based on data, filter out a list of people who have not participated in health insurance, potential participants in voluntary social insurance in each village and especially relatives of cadres, party members, teachers... From this list, coordinate to organize and propagate potential participants in social insurance and family health insurance.

From the fact that the number of people participating in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance were both negative compared to 2022, through the synchronous and drastic implementation of solutions, by the end of 2023, Tu Ky had developed 891 people participating in voluntary social insurance, 2,908 people participating in family health insurance. Of which, 72% of potential people were relatives of cadres, party members of the Party Committee, People's Committee of the commune and schools who participated in voluntary social insurance, 95% of potential people participated in family health insurance.

In 2024, Tu Ky District Social Insurance will coordinate with the District Labor Federation to deploy to employees at units and enterprises in the area to encourage their relatives who do not have social insurance or health insurance to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.
