Police read the warrant to prosecute the defendants in the gambling ring.

According to initial investigation, around May 2024, due to the need to make money by organizing gambling in the form of online football betting, Nguyen Duy Khanh (born in 1979, residing in Hoa Cuong Nam ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city) contacted a man named Teo (unknown identity) to get a Super Master account on the bookmaker "www.bong88.com" with the code V39B1.

After that, Khanh connected with many other subjects to form a large-scale gambling organization line on cyberspace.

Khanh used the above super-general account to split it into many websites and then handed it over to subordinate gamblers to organize gambling activities in the form of sports betting.

The subjects in this ring have many criminal records.

After the investigation, on November 16, the Cyber Security Department coordinated with other units to mobilize nearly 100 officers and soldiers divided into 12 working groups in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, simultaneously conducting searches and arresting Nguyen Duy Khanh and 11 other members of the network.

Police determined that from May 2024 until their arrest, the subjects had organized gambling and gambled with an amount of about 2,000 billion VND.

The police have initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and executed an order to temporarily detain the above subjects.

In addition, the police are also investigating and clarifying the act of "loan sharking in civil transactions" against Nguyen Duy Khanh.
