More than 1,550 managers and teachers nationwide participated in the training conference on integrating education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle in a number of subjects for junior high school students.
On October 23, the Ministry of Education and Training opened a training conference to guide cadres and teachers to integrate education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle in Literature, Civic Education, Experiential Activities, and Career Guidance for Junior High School students.
The conference took place over two days, October 23-24, online at 442 locations with 1,556 delegates, including managers and teachers nationwide.
According to the report of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs, in 2021, the Ministry of Education and Training developed and submitted to the Prime Minister Decision No. 1895/QD-TTg approving the Program to enhance education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arouse aspirations for dedication for youth, teenagers and children in the period of 2021-2030.
Implementing the Prime Minister's Decision, the Ministry has developed an implementation plan for the entire education sector, directing localities and educational institutions to actively innovate the content and educational programs on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle for students at all levels of education, training levels, and in the activities of the Youth Union, Association, and Pioneer organizations.
In order to improve the professional capacity of those working in political and ideological work, the management staff of the Department of Education and Training, schools, teachers of Literature, Civic Education, Experiential Activities, and Career Guidance, the Ministry of Education and Training has directed the development and promulgation of a set of documents guiding managers and teachers to integrate education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle in Literature, Civic Education, experiential activities, and career guidance for junior high school students.
Opening the conference, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Ngo Thi Minh emphasized the importance of educating students about revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle in realizing the goal of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.
The Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Education and Training has paid attention to, advised the Government and the Prime Minister to issue and promulgate, within its authority, many documents on student affairs in a timely and complete manner, including Decision 1895/QD-TTg on strengthening education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arousing aspirations for dedication for youth, teenagers and children in the period of 2021-2030.
One of the important solutions in Decision 1895/QD-TTg is to organize training and improve the capacity, expertise and professional skills of the team of teachers and lecturers teaching the subjects of Literature, Civic Education, Experiential Activities and Career Guidance.
To make the training effective, the Deputy Minister asked the reporters to focus on discussing core content, forms, and positive and effective methods to help localities and schools effectively carry out comprehensive education tasks.
The Deputy Minister noted that in addition to absorbing the training content, trainees need to share concerns and difficulties in organizing and managing activities integrating moral and lifestyle education for students.
At the conference, students will be trained on the following topics: Some general issues on educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for students and managing activities of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for students in schools; Instructions on integrating education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for junior high school students in Literature; Civic Education; Experiential activities and career guidance.
