Revolutionary tradition is the crystallization of the good values ​​of our nation, Party and people in the process of struggling to preserve and build the country. Educating the current young generation about revolutionary tradition is an urgent issue to arouse national pride, promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, self-reliance and national pride in the era of integration and development, firmly entering the new era - the era of national development.

In recent times, the work of educating revolutionary traditions for the younger generation has been given importance by all levels and sectors in the political system. All levels, sectors and localities have organized many activities such as quizzes, campaigns, discussions, thematic talks, commemorative rallies, visits to museums and historical revolutionary sites, etc.

Along with that, organizing activities such as "Repaying gratitude", "Drinking water, remembering its source", receiving support for Vietnamese heroic mothers, participating in decorating martyrs' cemeteries, lighting candles in gratitude on War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27. This is the most vivid visual education form to help young people show gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood and bones to gain independence, freedom and peace like today. Thereby reminding today's young generation to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, continuing the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland...

However, traditional education activities for the younger generation still show some limitations, such as some Youth Union organizations, especially at the grassroots level, have not yet promoted their role in advising, gathering, and propagating revolutionary tradition education for the younger generation; there are no appropriate educational methods, or the methods are rigid, so they have not been able to attract the younger generation in a voluntary and self-conscious spirit. Many children learn, study, and participate in activities on revolutionary tradition education with a passive mindset, paying off debts, mainly to complete the assigned quantity quota...

Regarding operating costs, funding sources are still very limited, and technical facilities and equipment in many places are rudimentary and degraded. Many young people are attracted by the online community, often surfing the web, social networks... with little time to learn about revolutionary traditions. A part of the youth have an indifferent, apathetic, irresponsible lifestyle, disregarding the sacrifices and contributions of their predecessors...

From this reality, to improve the effectiveness of revolutionary tradition education for the young generation, Party committees at all levels, especially at the grassroots level, need to closely direct this work.

Propaganda and education of revolutionary traditions for the young generation is the responsibility of the entire political system. Agencies in charge of propaganda and education and the cadres of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union must do a good job of advising and proposing, and truly be the core force in propaganda and education of revolutionary traditions for the current young generation.

Revolutionary tradition education is a long-term, regular, and persistent task that requires close coordination and unity among agencies, units, levels, sectors, schools, and families of young people.

It is necessary to regularly improve professional skills and improve propaganda skills for cadres working in propaganda and education such as propaganda and mass mobilization cadres, Youth Union cadres, school lecturers, etc.
