Van Lang University has just been officially approved by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to enroll and train in medicine.

According to information from Van Lang University, the school has just been officially approved by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll and train medical students, increasing the number of training majors at the school to 66.

The medical training program of this school is built on two main stages: preclinical and clinical.

Accordingly, in the preclinical phase (first 3 years of study), students are taught general education and basic science, guided and mastered basic scientific knowledge in medicine, and basic practical skills as a foundation for the next clinical phase.

During this period, students will study at the Faculty of Medicine and simultaneously practice at the hospital from the 4th semester (end of the second year).

During the clinical phase lasting 6 semesters (last 3 years of study), students are given the opportunity to access practical environments, applying the knowledge they have learned to solve professional problems at hospitals, clinics, community health stations and medical facilities where students are assigned to study.

According to the school, the medical program also provides students with access to an international medical education environment for 2-4 weeks in the 5th year through exchange programs and joint academic programs.

The medical training program of this school will have a total of 200 credits, of which 10 credits are physical education and national defense and security education. Students will do internships at hospitals from the second year until graduation for all specialties. Students will do a graduation thesis upon graduation.

Currently, the school is still establishing tuition fees for the medical field.

According to the school's 2022 Enrollment Plan, the expected tuition fee for full-time students for the standard training program ranges from 20 to 30 million VND/semester, depending on the major. For the maxillofacial major, the expected tuition fee is from 85 to 98 million VND/semester.

From now until October 31, Van Lang University will accept applications for admission to the new training program in 2022 - medicine (with a training period of 6 years), according to 3 methods: considering high school graduation exam scores, considering high school study results and considering competency assessment test results.
