Vietnam Sports wins second place at 2024 Paris Olympics

According to the coach of the Vietnamese shooting team - Mr. Hoang Xuan Vinh, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh participated in the women's 10m air pistol event and ranked 5th overall.

Notably, Trinh Thu Vinh is only 23 years old and has not competed in many major tournaments, but when facing more than 130 excellent shooters from countries around the world, she maintained a stable mental state and ranked 5th among the shooters in the qualifying round with a score of 579, only 5 points behind the leader - Greek athlete Korakaki Anna. Thu Vinh is also 1 of 8 athletes to be present at the final round of the 2023 World Shooting Championship.

Because the two athletes ranked above Thu Vinh had already qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, she was eligible to win a ticket to this tournament. With the above result, Trinh Thu Vinh became the second athlete of Vietnamese Sports to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Previously, cyclist Nguyen Thi That (cycling) was the first Vietnamese athlete to win a ticket to the world arena next year, thanks to the 2023 Asian Championship.

At the 2023 World Shooting Championship, the Vietnamese shooting team will participate with shooters including: Ha Minh Thanh, Lai Cong Minh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen, Nguyen Thanh Nam, Nguyen Thi Thao, Nguyen Thuy Trang, Pham Quang Huy, Phi Thanh Thao, Trinh Thu Vinh and Vu Tien Nam.
