To ensure the competition schedule for archer Do Thi Anh Nguyet, the Vietnamese sports delegation decided to choose racer Nguyen Thi That to replace her as flag bearer at the 2024 Olympic opening ceremony.
According to the original plan, archer Do Thi Anh Nguyet and tennis player Le Duc Phat will be the flag bearers for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
However, because Anh Nguyet's competition schedule is close to the opening ceremony, the Vietnamese sports delegation chose racer Nguyen Thi That as the flag bearer at the parade at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 26.
Thus, cyclist Nguyen Thi That from An Giang will join badminton player Le Duc Phat in carrying the Vietnamese flag at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
