Racer Nguyen Thi That (red shirt) will join badminton player Le Duc Phat to carry the flag of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 26.

According to the original plan, archer Do Thi Anh Nguyet and tennis player Le Duc Phat will be the flag bearers for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

However, because Anh Nguyet's competition schedule is close to the opening ceremony, the Vietnamese sports delegation chose racer Nguyen Thi That as the flag bearer at the parade at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 26.

Thus, cyclist Nguyen Thi That from An Giang will join badminton player Le Duc Phat in carrying the Vietnamese flag at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 2024 Paris Olympics will also be the first Olympics for both Nguyen Thi That and Le Duc Phat. Both are expected to surpass themselves in this summer's Olympics.

Nguyen Thi That is currently competing in Europe. After finishing the tournament in Italy, the Vietnamese cyclist will travel straight to France to join the 2024 Paris Olympic athletes.

Tennis players Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat are practicing hard to prepare for Paris 2024.

Meanwhile, tennis player Le Duc Phat is practicing in Vietnam. Both are trying their best with the highest determination to have an impressive first appearance at the biggest sports arena on the planet.

On July 23, members of the Vietnamese sports delegation officially departed for Paris with the goal of striving to win medals. Depending on the competition schedule, Vietnamese athletes may arrive in Paris before or after the above time.

Nguyen Thi That is the first Vietnamese athlete to win a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics after successfully defending her title at the 2023 Asian Cycling Championship in June 2023. She is also the first racer in the history of Vietnamese road cycling to participate in an Olympic Games.

Meanwhile, badminton player Le Duc Phat participated in the Olympics for the first time after a long journey of accumulating bonus points in pre-Olympic tournaments.

In the men's singles, Le Duc Phat is currently ranked 70th in the world and is in Group K with Prannoy Haseena (India, ranked 13th in the world) and Fabian Roth (Germany, ranked 82nd in the world). Experts expect Le Duc Phat to create a surprise to advance further in the major tournament.
