Districts, towns and cities in Hai Duong organized many meaningful sports activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025).
On the afternoon of March 27, the Hai Duong City Center for Culture, Sports and Communications organized a football and pickleball exchange for cultural officers of 24 wards and communes in the area. This event also had the participation of the directors of the Centers for Culture, Sports and Communications of districts and towns in the province, along with many collaborators.
Previously, Ninh Giang district organized a table tennis tournament to celebrate Vietnam Sports Day. The tournament gathered nearly 100 athletes from 8 units, bringing dramatic and professional competitions.
Thanh Mien District organized the 2025 Volleyball Tournament for middle and seniors with the participation of 255 athletes from 17 teams. The beautiful plays and enthusiastic cheers from the audience created an exciting and cheerful atmosphere.
On this occasion, the Center for Culture, Sports and Communication of Cam Giang district successfully organized the Badminton Championship with the participation of 130 athletes from 8 units.
In Kinh Mon town, the first Hoa Tien Cup Pickleball Tournament attracted 160 players from 8 competing teams, creating a highlight for the development of this sport in the local sports movement.
Vietnam Sports Day (March 27) was chosen based on the historical event in 1946, when President Ho Chi Minh called on all people to exercise through the article "Physical Exercise and Health".
Since then, the sports movement has spread strongly, becoming an important part of the cultural and health life of Vietnamese people. Vietnam Sports Day not only recognizes the contributions of sports to the country but also arouses the will to strive and the spirit of solidarity in each individual and community.
