Thanh Ha district forcibly recovered land from 4 households with more than 5,300 m2 of land to implement the new residential area project in Tan An and Thanh Khe communes.
On the morning of January 10, Thanh Ha district organized the forced land acquisition to implement the Residential Area Construction Project of Tan An and Thanh Khe communes (now Thanh Ha town). The forced land acquisition and handover to the investor was completed at 11:00 a.m. the same day, ensuring safety, following the correct procedures and legal regulations.
4 households in Thanh Ha town have more than 5,300 m2Land must be forcibly recovered. These households do not agree with the policy of land recovery to build a new residential area and request to apply a compensation agreement when recovering land.
In 2021, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province approved the investment policy to build a new residential area in Tan An and Thanh Khe communes on an area of about 94,000 m² with a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND. The project is invested by a joint venture of Viet Czech Group Joint Stock Company and Au Viet Group Joint Stock Company (Hai Duong City).
Thanh Ha District People's Committee was assigned to clear the land. To implement the project, the district reclaimed land from 108 households in Thanh Khe and Tan An communes.
Since 2021, Thanh Ha district has established a Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council to organize land acquisition and site clearance. Thanh Ha district People's Committee has issued 8 decisions on land acquisition and approved compensation and support plans. Due to problems with site clearance, the project has been delayed for many years, affecting the local socio-economic development.
To promptly hand over land to the investor to implement the project, the Chairman of Thanh Ha District People's Committee issued a decision to forcibly reclaim land from households that do not agree with the policy of building a new residential area.
Before carrying out the enforcement, the District Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council actively propagated and mobilized. As a result, 3 households agreed with the land acquisition policy, while only the remaining 4 households did not agree, leading to the implementation of enforcement measures.
