General officer from Hai Duong continues to contribute to his homeland

On the afternoon of December 15, at the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command, the Liaison Committee of General Officers of Hai Duong Province held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

Attending the meeting were comrades: Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending were a number of members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army sent flowers to congratulate the Provincial General Officer Liaison Committee.

At the meeting, the Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee informed the generals from Hai Duong about some outstanding results in socio-economic development, Party building and the political system of the province, and local defense and military work in 2024.

The Provincial Party Secretary thanked the attention and sharing and hoped that the military and police generals from Hai Duong who are working or have retired, with their prestige, enthusiasm and extensive work experience, will continue to contribute their efforts and intelligence to the local Party Committee and government to mobilize all resources, promote socio-economic development, strengthen national defense and security, build a solid national defense and people's security posture, meeting the requirements of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

Propaganda and mobilization of people to grasp, understand and properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and local campaigns.

He hoped that the general from Hai Duong would regularly encourage and educate his children, grandchildren, and students about the Party's goals and ideals, patriotic traditions, self-reliance, and revolutionary heroism.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army and the tradition of the armed forces of Hai Duong province.

The comrades in the Liaison Committee of General Officers of the province expressed their excitement at the development of their hometown Hai Duong in recent times, especially in 2024 when the province still faces many difficulties and challenges. They wished the Provincial Party Committee to continue to lead and direct the successful implementation of political tasks, achieving more achievements in 2025.

The Liaison Committee of General Officers of Hai Duong Province currently has 151 members. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh, former member of the Party Central Committee and former Deputy Minister of National Defense, is the head of the liaison committee. In recent times, the liaison committee has carried out many practical and effective activities, maintaining close relations with local Party committees and authorities in the province.
